Winchester Police Log

I usually read the Winchester Police Log on a weekly basis. I like to remind myself of how safe the town I reside in really is. Typically, the police log includes incidents involving speeding, unregistered cars, drivers with suspended lisenses, car accidents, and occaisonal thefts from homes or cars. Recently though, there was a rather dishonest crime reported.

Someone at the Parkview reported losing their wallet at the pool containing approximately $600 to $700. The description of the wallet also included a detailed breakdown of the bill denominations. The police asked the custodian who had cleaned the area earlier if he had seen the wallet. He said he had not, but was oddly enough carrying $500 to $600 in his wallet including a similar bill breakdown.

Now, I am not sure why this person was carrying so much cash or how one could let their wallet out of sight when carry that much money, BUT that was very dishonest of the custodian and I wonder what happened to him. I am almost compelled to call the police department to ask.

Search, Crawl, etc.

I would really like to pop up more frequently on search engines, especially when searching for "Winchester, MA." My friend Adam says that this will happen when google "crawls" over my page. Apparently, google searches the web to find new webpages, referred to as crawling. So far I have progressed from not appearing when searching "Winchesterista," to appearing. I believe that in order to be indentified when searching "Winchester, MA" I need to write Winchester, MA as often as possible. Let me say it one more time: Winchester, MA. Hope this works!

Whole Foods

I have come to love the whole foods market (WFM) on Cambridge Street. While this store is technically in Woburn, it is only feet from the Welcome to Winchester sign. I originally went to WFM to find light chocolate silk, and now frequently go there to buy gourmet and typically organic prepared food. Tonight I got some pasta salad made of tortellini with pesto sauce and fresh basil leaves. It was delicious and I am looking forward to trying more items in the salad/hot meal/desert bars. :)

Welcome

Welcome to Winchester, or at least Winchesterista.  If you are new to Winchester, or new to reading Winchesterista, have no fear: I am too.  I officially moved to my new favorite town in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on the 26th of April 2008.  This blog got a late start following my adventures in a new town, but better late than never!  (I should also note that my my change of address cards were delayed 3 months as well).    Hope you enjoy!
